HISTORY

Starting out as a Black Metal band in Olten, Switzerland in 2004, BLUTMOND released their debut full length album, “Endzeit”, in 2006.   With a growing reputation for insane and provocative live shows, BLUTMOND’s profile was raised not only throughout the Swiss underground but throughout Europe as well, but, whilst their reputation grew, so did the realisation that musically the band wanted to expand their horizons.  It was time to leave behind the mindless guitar shredding and the tales of wolves and warriors in order to create something new.  Something emotional.  Something honest.

Those band members who were on board with the idea of a new direction entered Markus Stock’s Klangschmiede Studio E in 2009 to record BLUTMOND’s sophomore full-length album “Thirteen Urban Ways 4 Groovy Bohemian Days”. With new members recruited on guitar and saxophone, BLUTMOND was snapped up by Code666, a sub-label of Aural Music, and “Thirteen Urban Ways 4 Groovy Bohemian Days” hit the streets.

In 2011 BLUTMOND once again entered Studio E for what proved to be a very long recording session, which produced a non-stop rollercoaster ride through the listener’s minds, and featured a few surprises and some notable guest appearances from the likes of Anna Murphy from ELUVEITIE, Managarm from VARG, Fredy Schnyder from NUCLEUS TORN and Markus Baltes from AUTUMNBLAZE etc. With their contract with Code666 renewed, BLUTMOND’s third full-length album, “The Revolution is Dead!”, hit the streets in 2013, garnering praise from both press and fans alike.

Going forward  BLUTMOND is definitely not sitting still and resting on the laurels the band has earned so far.  New lineup changes have been made, strengthening the band still further in terms of commitment and musicianship, and work has begun on writing material for the fourth full-length album.  If the progress shown through each preceding album continues through to the fourth, then this one will more than meet expectations.

BLUTMOND is available for clubs shows, festivals and tours
