NORWEGIAN BLACK METALLERS NATTVERD REVEAL NEW TRACK AND DETAILS FROM UPCOMING ALBUM

With their sophomore full-length album “Styggdom” set for release on Osmose Productions on the 31st January 2020, fans of Norwegian Black Metallers NATTVERD get their first taste of what to expect from the album with the debut of the track “Dragsvoll”, which can be heard below and at https://youtu.be/02P3z2u_zU4

Formed two years ago, and with a lineup of extremely experienced and talented musicians, comprised today of Serpentr  on vocals, Ormr on Vocals and Guitars,  Atyr on Guitars, Sveinr on bass. and Anti Christian on session drums,  NATTVERD has always sought to keep the actual identity of those musicians private, preferring that the band be judged  purely on its music, as opposed to any former, current, or future, bands or releases its members may be involved in.

NATTVERD’s extremely successful debut album “Vi Vet gud Er En Løgner”  showed a band that played Black Metal in the traditional way – cold and nasty and filled with fury and hate. But with “Styggdom”, NATTVERD have grown and expanded, to  come up with a much more varied, atmospheric,  album. An album that shows just how versatile this band can be when it comes to delivering Black Metal.

Drums, Bass, Guitars and Vocals for “Styggdom” were recorded at Velvet Recording, Spydeberg, Norway and engineered by Nattverd and Christer Krogh. Mixing and mastering was handled by Tore Stjerna at the Necromorbus Studios.

With artwork, layout and design by Khaos Diktator Design, “Styggdom” will be available in CD, Digital and Limited Edition LP formats.  Tracklisting is as follows:

Dark Essence Records have today revealed a new single from “Thin The Veil”, the upcoming sixth full-length album from Total Occultic Mechanical Blasphemers T.O.M.B, along with a video to accompany the track, which is titled “Pestilence”.

The single itself, which features MAYHEM’s legendary drummer Hellhammer, along with Norwegian musician Andy Winter, from the band WINDS, on bass, can be streamed or downloaded at the following:

Formed in 1998 and drawing their initial inspiration from bands such as ABRUPTUM, HAVOHEJ, SAMAEL and SUNNO))), T.O.M.B’s lineup of  No-One, B. Zimimay, Tyler B and Samantha Viola have skilfully crafted their own avant-garde style, which is characterised by an eclectic mix of Ambient, Doom, Industrial, Noise and traditional Black Metal.

Dealing with subject matters such as death, paranormal activity and occult practicesn T.O.M.B have used their trademark sound, which is both horrific, and, at the same time, hypnotically spell-binding,  to devastating effect on “Thin The Veil”,  demonstrating why the band is considered to be  one of the top innovators of modern day Black Metal.

“Thin The Veil” is mastered by Tore Stjerna of the Necromorbus Studios in Sweden and features collaborations with musicians such the afore-mentioned Hellhammer on drums and Andy Winter on bass, as well  as  Craig Smilowski  (Ex-IMMOLATION) and  Duncan McLaren of VENOM WOLF, along with spoken necromancy spells recited by Maurice De Jong (“Mories” of GNAW THEIR TONGUES).

DARK ESSENCE RECORDS INKS DEAL WITH ICELANDIC BLACK METALLERS NYRST

Dark Essence Records have announced today that they have welcomed NYRST onto their roster and will be releasing the debut full-length album from the Icelandic Black Metallers  in 2020.

Formed in the winter of 2013, NYRST released their first demo in 2016.  The demo garnered praise for the band’s use of diverse vocals and chilling atmosphere, whilst NYRST’s  mystic and haunting stage performances have gained them respect as  a live band in the metal scene of their native Iceland

Today’s lineup of Snæbjörn on vocals,  guitarists Eysteinn and Davíð, Egill on bass and Sveinbjörn on drums, pays homage to the bands grim and icy Icelandic heritage by delivering a debut album that promises to be filled with a soundscape that is incredibly cold, stark and barren, whilst its lyrics come straight from old horror literature, laced with cosmic undertones.
