Bergen may be known as being at the epicentre of Norwegian Black Metal, but with the help of Karisma Records, it is also fast developing a reputation for  giving birth to some of the most interesting new bands who inhabit the more Progressive side of the music spectrum.

One such band is HIMMELLEGEME,  whose Psychedelic brand of Rock, replete with heavy-hitting riffs, chilling melodies and melancholic lyrics, is influenced by both Blues and Atmospheric Prog Rock, and whose debut full-length album, “Myth of Earth”,  is set for release on Karisma Records on the 6th October.

HIMMELLEGEME’s lineup of Aleksander Vormestrand on guitars and vocals, Hein Alexander Olson on lead guitar, Lauritz Isaksen on keyboards, Erik Alfredsen on bass, and Thord Nordli on drums, spent the past year exploring new sounds and putting the finishing touches on their new material, the result of which is an album that depicts past events not only in the lives of the band members themselves, but also in the lives of others.

Recorded during the fall and winter of 2016 at the Broen Studios in Bergen, and produced by Anders Bjelland (ELECTRIC EYE / HYPERTEXT),  “Myth of Earth” is an album whose sound is otherworldly and timeless.  With artwork by Mina Nornes Westli,  tracklisting for “Myth of Earth is as follows:

HIMMELLEGEME are set to play four dates in Norway, one at the Fjellparkfestivalen in July, and three with VULTURE INDUSTRIES in the Autumn to celebrate the release of  “Myth of Earth.
